Old Habits Die Hard

Well hello again. It's been a while. I've got plenty of excuses, work, sickness, wanting to spend time with significant others, laziness... But that really gets me no where. Anyways...

Today the Wii said I was 218.5. The last few weeks I seem to be fluctuating between 216 and 218.5. So I am teetering right around the minus 30 lbs mark. Which is great! However... it also means that I am having more trouble losing weight. I have joined a second gym, right by my work, to help with going a little more. I also signed up for 10 sessions with a personal trainer. It was offered at a good price during sign up at the new gym and I've been wanting to sign up for a while. I had my first session this week. Well...two 30 minute sessions because I am pretty weak. My whole body hurts....but in the good way. With losing so much weight I am starting to get flabby so I think the trainer will really help with toning up. At least that's what the fire in my abs, thighs, arms and back suggests....

As far as food goes I am still up and down. I do really well and eat lentils and soups and then I grab that delicious bag of hot Cheetos at work in the evening. I have even asked my boss to stop stocking them! Though will power would be better... I have started taking protein shakes after a really hard work out. I don't particularly like them but many different sources have told me that it will help with muscle recovery.

Today for breakfast I ate a piece of homemade whole wheat banana bread made with apple sauce instead of butter/oil (around 150 calories) and a slice of smoked salmon (70 calories). For lunch and dinner I ate a bowl of Uptma, which is an Indian dish. It's homemade from a particular flour with carrots, peas and mushrooms in it (and very little oil). I really have no idea what the calorie content of it is. I am going to try and calculate it soon. I had for a snack a bowl of Indian stuff...I can't even explain it but it's not all that healthy and I am pretty sure there are fried corn flakes in it... Later on I had the evil bag of Cheetos (330 calories). Plus I had a 30 minute training session and afterward a protein shake (200 calories). So overall I am sure I didn't go over my 2000 calorie intake. However, I do need to start focusing again on big reductions if I want to see big results.

One plus is that I have been eating out very rarely recently. So that's at least good.

Well that's all for now.
